1- Jameis Winston - QB - FSU
The incumbent crab leg loving signal caller may put up crazier #'rs this year with a schedule where he may have to play in the 2nd half of some games. Look for 'Famous Jameis' to have a few ups and downs but be back in NYC at season's end.
2- Marcus Mariota - QB - Oregon
The challenger to the throne here as Mariota was having a great year before it was derailed by Stanford and a knee issue. An early season LITMUS test with MSU could really propel him to the forefront. If he stays healthy he will be a top contender for this award.
3- Bryce Petty - QB - Baylor
With Baylor having an easy ass schedule and a great chance to win the Big 12 again look for Petty to put up Tom Ace type #'rs and be in NY at the end of 2014.
4- Brett Hundley - QB - UCLA
The hype is real for this Bruin as he continues to shatter UCLA records. With a tough schedule he will have a plethora of chances to impress the voters this year.
5- Nick Marshall - QB - Auburn
His teammates believe he is going to win it and despite being out for week 1 he should put up great #'rs. My only worry is his increased stats not outweighing the toughness of Auburn's schedule which will be tough to navigate. He is a good 'buy low' contender here.
